DBS Hardware Evolution: DC2DC Power Optimization Roadmap

At DBS, we believe that transparency is the bedrock of premium hardware manufacturing. Our engineering department doesn't just deliver spec sheets; we provide real-world data and verifiable hardware progression.

To give our global B2B clients, cross-border distributors, and audio professionals a clear look into our development cycle, we are officially releasing our acoustic power consumption roadmap, detailing our milestone breakthroughs in balancing extreme computational uplink noise cancellation with battery efficiency.

The Three Pillars of DBS Power Evolution

As illustrated in our technical chart, our R&D Department has systematically targeted power dissipation across three major engineering generations, all benchmarked under a standard 32-ohm speaker load layout:

Generation 1: Standard Circuit Architecture (25.0mA - 29.0mA)

In our early benchmarking phase, running a high-computational single-microphone DNN (Deep Neural Network) algorithm at 100% capacity required extensive processing power. Without advanced power-rail management, the baseline standard circuit drew a heavy 25.0mA to 29.0mA. While the noise suppression was outstanding, the battery life did not meet our strict standards for high-efficiency enterprise deployment.

Generation 2: Current Production Model - DC2DC Optimized (18.0mA - 22.0mA)

This represents our finalized, ready-to-ship mass-production standard. By completely redesigning the motherboard's power delivery and introducing highly optimized DC2DC circuit topologies, our engineering team successfully slashed the system-level current draw down to a steady 18.0mA - 22.0mA.

* No Algorithm Throttling: Even with this massive power reduction, we refused to compromise on speech sanitization. The algorithm operates at full throttle to deliver an uplink noise cancellation depth exceeding 70dB.

* Full-Spectrum Erasing: It completely eliminates all steady-state background roars as well as sharp transient spikes (such as mechanical keyboard clicks).

* Honest Shift Endurance: Combined with active speaker loads during a live call, it guarantees an honest, field-verified 7 to 8 hours of continuous professional talk time.

Watch our lab bench test: See the 18mA–22mA real-time current draw in action paired with a live 70dB background noise erasure demonstration.

Generation 3: Upcoming Premium Flagship - DNN+VPU Version (10.0mA - 12.0mA)

For premium enterprise markets demanding marathon battery performance exceeding 12 hours on a single charge, our R&D Department is actively developing our next-generation architecture.

By integrating the advanced low power DNN platform with a hardware-level VPU (Voice Pick-Up) bone-conduction sensor, we are altering how audio noise is isolated. Because the hardware sensor offloads massive processing weight from the software layer, the chip-level draw plummets. Our early bench tests confirm that the final system-level current will reside comfortably in the 10.0mA - 12.0mA range, achieving unprecedented longevity while retaining our signature 70dB deep isolation.
